Health workers under the Universal Health Coverage program are accusing the government of ignoring their plight despite being on strike for one month. The health workers who held peaceful demonstrations in Nairobi County on Tuesday have vowed to continue championing their course until their demands which include employment on permanent and pensionable terms, payment of their gratuity, and remittance of the National Social Security Fund among others are met.
