Moi University Striking lecturers have rejected an offer by the university's council, saying it does not meet their demands. UASU Eldoret branch secretary-general, Busolo Wekesa, said they have been negotiating with the employer since Thursday last week but have rejected their offer. The lecturers went on strike on August 20 over the return-to-work formula signed with the university council on November 30, 2024. The union wants June and July 2025 salaries paid as per the negotiated 2021-2025 CBA rates. The leaders say new management is weak and unable to handle issues facing the University.
