Suspected Russian recruiter arrested for luring Kenyans abroad

Festus Arasa Omwamba, the key suspect in the alleged Russia human trafficking ring, has pleaded not guilty to charges of trafficking in persons before the Kahawa Law Courts. The 33-year-old was arrested by officers from Moyale police station while allegedly attempting to flee the country through the Moyale border into a neighbouring country. Investigators believe he was part of a network suspected of facilitating illegal travel and exploitation of victims under the guise of job opportunities abroad.
