A section of UDA leaders from Tana River County have distanced themselves from the party's grassroot elections, that were held in Hola town on saturday. Led by area Senator Danson Mungatana and former Governor Hussein Dado, the leaders questioned the transparency of the whole exercise, alleging that the party's register was doctored. The leaders are pointing an accusing finger to some individuals from within the party and outside, for collaborating to oust the bonified party leaders through a silent coup, something they say will not go well with them. They are now calling for nullification of the purported results and a fresh election, failure to which they will be forced to look for other political options.
