Teachers have been warned against sending home children infested with jiggers. A multisectoral team that toured several schools in kakamega, decried the high level of children dropping out of schools because of jiggers infestation and pledged to launch a programmes to mop up infested children to re-admit them in schools. Ahadi Kenya chief executive officer Dr Stanley Kamau observed that there is need for goverment to conduct census for persons infested by jigger menace in the country so as to help in eradicating the same.. The exercise will held the government and organisation dealing with jiggers menace to help the community cope with the challenge.
