Child labour along Uganda and Kenya boarder in Sirisia Constituency Bungoma county has been cited as one of the major cause of teenage pregnancies.
This is according to education stakeholders and child rights advocates from Bungoma West sub county after a week of sensitizing school children in the area. Led by Murakwa foundation chairman, Musungu Murakwa, they say that poverty is the main cause of teen pregnancies, especially among vulnerable families.The locals are now urging the government and other stakeholders to intervene and eradicate the menace to restore the community's dignity.
