Kenya ranks third worldwide in teenage pregnancies according to the Ministry of Health. Recent data also released by the Ministry shows one in five adolescents aged 15-19 are already mothers or pregnant with their first child. Such statistics have caused an uproar from both state and non-state actors who are now calling for immediate action. Similarly, rights organisations and gender activists say it is time we had a robust strategy to tame the menace. Joining me in studio to explore solutions to the scourge of teen pregnancy in Kenya, is Dr Nelly Bosire - OB/GYN, Founder Thriving Teens.
