Tension high on Marsabit–Wajir border over Titu land dispute

Tension remains high along the border between Marsabit County and Wajir County following an escalation of a dispute over ownership of the Titu area. One person was shot during protests sparked by the arrest of two community leaders alleged to be linked to a militia group. Residents are opposing the construction of a multi-agency security center, which they want halted until the dispute is resolved.
