Tensions remain high in Transmara South, Narok County, following renewed violence over a long-standing land dispute. Another person has been seriously injured after being struck on the head with a machete at Ngosuani Trading Center, bringing the number of injured to eight.
This latest attack comes just a day after three people were killed and seven others injured in fierce clashes between rival groups. In response, the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has launched investigations into the conduct of police officers during the violence, focusing on how they handled the situation and the deaths and injuries that occurred during their intervention.
