Thousands of retired civil servants are now struggling to make ends meet following a delay in the disbursement of close to 25 billion shillings to cater for their pension scheme. In a spot check by Citizen TV, most of the retirees are living hand to mouth, with some relying on well-wishers for survival. And as Laura Otieno reports, many more civil servants could be facing the same fate in the coming years as the treasury released a paltry 7 billion shillings in the last two weeks which is barely enough to cover the current backlog that stands at 25 billion shillings
