Three individuals were arrested last night in a major operation against illicit drugs led by the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).
The crackdown targeted popular entertainment joints, resulting in the confiscation of 52 shisha pots during coordinated raids at Al-Fakher Lounge on Mirema Drive and Embassy Club along Thika Road.
NACADA's Director of Enforcement and Compliance, James Koskey, reaffirmed the agency's commitment to eradicating the illegal use of shisha. The suspects apprehended in the operation are set to appear in court to face charges related to possession and distribution of the banned substance.
NACADA has issued a stern warning to establishments violating the shisha ban, emphasizing that non-compliance could result in closure and heavy penalties. __
