Three-day Marsabit Lake Turkana Cultural Festival begins

Senate Speaker Amason Kingi has urged communities living in Northern Kenya to regularly hold cultural festivals in order to foster unity and avert clan rivalry. Kingi said that despite minor cultural differences, the communities such as the Sakuye, Gare, El Molo, and Rendille still have a lot in common which can be harnessed to prevent ethnic clashes.
