The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission is pursuing three unnamed officers at the National Hospital Insurance Fund that carted away 30 million shillings during the height of the 2022 transition period. The three according to EACC gained access to the funds' system and amended members' details to siphon the money. In a report submitted by EACC to the newly established Social Health Insurance Fund the theft happened exactly 23 days before Kenyans went into the 2022 general election.
