The rollout of the new health insurance took place simultaneously across all the regions countrywide, amid confusion at various hospitals with those not registered unable to access services. Others who have already registered also cited challenges accessing services under SHIF. In Nairobi County, the NHIF building was rebranded to Social Health Authority.
