Security agencies in Lamu County are investigating a suspected terrorist attack in Taa area of Lamu West constituency on Saturday night that left two National Police Reservists dead and one nursing injuries. Two houses and property of unknown value were burnt during the attack by suspected al-Shabaab militants. Residents claim they heard gunshots at about 2 a.m., an indication the reservists may have exchanged fire with the attackers before they were overpowered.
