A section of Faith-Based Organizations is urging the president to reconsider his decision and nominate more female Cabinet Secretaries. Led by Reverend Dominic Misolo, they noted that implementation of the two thirds gender rule is long overdue as women are still left out both in elective and appointive positions.Speaking in Nairobi, the clergy further added that the only solution to bridging the gender disparity is by political parties fronting more women for elective positions, especially during the electioneering period. Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi, in acknowledging the failure of the legislature in implementing the two-thirds gender rule, promised to rally fellow MPs to pass a bill on the same.
