Twelve people, including a secondary school student, lost their lives in a devastating road accident along the Molo-Njoro road in Chebonde. The crash, which occurred last evening, involved a Nakuru K Service matatu and a lorry heading from Molo to Nakuru. According to eyewitnesses, the matatu reportedly suffered a tyre burst, causing it to lose control, roll, and collide head-on with the lorry.
Residents have pointed to poor road conditions as a contributing factor to the tragedy. Several injured passengers were rushed to Molo Subcounty Hospital for treatment.
