United Democratic Alliance party Secretary General Hassan Omar now says the controversial remarks he made on the usage of deceased persons fingerprints for voting in the general elections were just figurative. Appearing before the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission’s Electoral Code of Conduct Committee Omar said the remarks were aimed at urging coastal residents to register as voters in large numbers.
