Hundreds of families across the country are facing hardship following severe disruption of health services caused by the nationwide strike by Universal Health Coverage (UHC) workers.
Health workers withdrew services in most public hospitals, while the caucus of health workers' unions staged protests in Nairobi, demanding to be placed on the national government's payroll and accusing the Council of Governors of complacency.
Meanwhile, residents in Kericho stormed the county referral hospital, expressing anger over what they described as the mishandling of the health sector.
