- Three years ago President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto were sworn in to office into their second term. At the time the country was so polarized along political lines. It was the start of a new-styled Kenyatta who appeared keen on defining his legacy and exerting his authority. Three years later the bromance that defined the Uhuruto ticket is no more. Political suspicion within the ruling party has become the order of the day. The political handshake between Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga barely three months into President Kenyatta’s term further complicated matters for an already wobbly Uhuruto relationship. But, what really happened? Sam Gituku seeks answers in the following special report; here is The Uhuruto Maze.
