The University of Nairobi hosted a unique spelling bee contest dubbed the `SLIC` spelling bee to celebrate the Kenya Sign Language under the theme unite the world, its citizens and communities and societies through sign language. SLIC is translated to sign language is school and the competition brought together children that hear and those with hearing impairment from lower and upper primary in different schools.
