Shughuli hiyo ya kitaifa ya upanzi wa miche kwenye maeneo yasiyo na miti pamoja na kuimarisha mfumo wa ikolojia, ilitekelezwa pia kwa nia ya kuwakumbuka zaidi ya wakenya 200 waliopoteza maisha yao kutokana na mafuriko hapa nchini. Hivi ndivyo shughuli hii ilivyotekelezwa katika sehemu mbali mbali za taifa hili.
