Victims of banditry attacks in Baringo ask for compensation

    Victims of banditry in Baringo South have called on the government to compensate them, for the loss they have incurred following cases of banditry in the area. The victims who met members of the National Assembly Security Committee, who toured the area to assess the security situation, close to six months after the government launched an operation to flush out bandits, say they have known no peace for the last 20 years. Led by the committee deputy chairperson Dido Rasso, the COMMITTEE urged the communities residing in Kasiela, Arabal, Kapindasum, Chemorongion and Kiserian, to work with security officers to deal with the insecurity menace, and ensure the area benefits from development projects.
