Vihiga County Governor Wilber Ottichilo has urged the Vihiga county business community to comply with the laid tax obligations so as to foster development in the area.
The governor’s sentiments were echoed by Vihiga county commissioner Gilbert Kitiyo, who has issued a warning to those evading taxes, saying that the national government will collaborate with the county government to prosecute business owners who evade taxes.
With the automation of revenue collection, the county aims to collect at least Ksh 500m as revenue in the current financial year.
