Waiyaki Way in Nairobi has turned into a nightmare to motorists and residents living along the road due to its deteriorating condition. The bustling highway has remained in a state of disrepair, two years after completion of construction works, turning into a safety hazard, particularly during the rainy season. The highway is marred with stalled underpass projects, unfinished bridges and potholes on service lanes leading to massive disruptions to commuters’ daily routines. Calls for immediate completion and repairs to the highway by the relevant authorities have now reached a crescendo as the toll of accidents continues to mount.
