Youth leaders from Mwea and Makima Wards in Embu County have called on the government to partner with organizations that are in the forefront in the fight against drugs, and alcohol abuse.
The group said a lot of sensitization campaigns on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse need to be carried out especially among the youth who are increasingly getting hooked to the vices. Mwema Youth Alliance patron Nicholas Kasanga said this will only be successful if the government and leaders across the country agree to work with established anti-drug crusader groups. He spoke during a youth sensitization and empowerment meeting at Kitololoni Catholic Parish Grounds in Makima.
