Why Gov't decided to turn to green energy to prepare meals in schools - NACONEK

"The cheapest, fastest source of fuel has been known to be firewood. But it became problematic getting firewood. The carbon brought respiratory illness. Gov't asked NACONEK to find a solution for this."

"One of the solutions was a modern kitchen that will be able to provide same amount of meals, but we don't touch our trees, we don't paint our classes black, kitchen staff are healthier. The idea is for all schools to transition from using firewood."
