https://nation.africa A 35-year-old house help died early Monday morning when a ferocious dog attacked her at a private house in Malindi Sub County. According to the Malindi Sub County Police Commander, Mr John Kemboi, the incident took place at around 5am when the woman was attending to her normal duties. Mr. Kemboi said the victim, Roselyn Nafula, had only worked for a week in the household before the attack by the South African Boerboel dog. “The deceased person was going to pour water outside when the canine pounced on her and caused fatal injuries,” he told journalists. Mr. Kemboi said that the woman had earlier been warned by the watchman at the private house to beware of the dog as it was unfriendly to newcomers. “The watchman later heard noises from the direction in which he had left the woman only to come back and find the dog attacking her,” Mr Kemboi said. The police commander said the security guard stopped the dog from attacking the victim and called the home owners, but it was too late to save her. Mr. Kemboi said his officers had launched investigations to establish the circumstances under which the woman died.
