Women in engineering have decried the discrimination of their gender in employment opportunities in the industry. Speaking during a dinner event to commemorate International Women’s Day, the chairperson of women in engineering Jennifer Gache, emphasized women’s capability to deliver good work in the male-dominated field. The event graced by People’s Liberation Party chair Martha Karua, also saw tens of female engineering students being awarded for their input in achieving sustainable development goals regarding the alleviation of poverty, hunger, and discrimination against women and girls.
