Women leaders demand bursary consolidation, fixing of CBE

Women leaders from across the country are calling for the consolidation of bursaries currently managed by MPs, MCAs and Governors into a single transparent kitty to better support needy learners across the Country. Speaking in Nairobi, Women leaders led by Echo Network Africa Foundation President Dr. Jennifer Riria have also called for urgent action to address what they term as a growing crisis of a majority of grade 10 learners who are yet to join Senior High schools. They further decried rising insecurity even as they called for gender-based violence to be declared a national Disaster.
