World Bank debars PwC in Mauritius, Kenya, Rwanda for 21 months over Ethiopia project fraud

The World Bank Group has officially excluded three PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) entities for 21 months over collusive and fraudulent practices. The matter relates to the Eastern Electricity Highway Project under the first phase of the Eastern Africa Power Integration Program, an electricity project designed to increase the supply of electricity to Kenya. The three PwC affiliates are Mauritius-based PwC Associates Africa Ltd - pwc associates, Pricewaterhousecoopers Limited, Kenya, and Pricewaterhousecoopers Rwanda Limited.
