Zeitun to file a petition at the Supreme Court against Hussein's win as the MP for Lagdera

Abdiqani Zeitun has vowed to move to the Supreme Court to challenge the High Court decision, that upheld the election of Abdukadir Hussein as the Lagdera member of parliament. Zeitun says the decision of the Court of Appeal bench was flawed. The three–judge bench said the decision to nullify the election was drastic, and a recount was baseless, as it would only be a fishing expedition. The high court in March nullified Hussein's win, ruling that there were elements of irregularities in the parliamentary election.
