Zoezi la kuondoa matope kufuatia maporomoko linaendelea wilaya ya Hanang
Mamlaka katika Wilaya ya Hanang, Mkoa wa Manyara nchini Tanzania imeanza kuondoa matope yaliyosambaa barabarani kufuatia mafuriko na maporomoko ya ardhi yaliyotokea nchini siku ya Jumapili.
Kwa mujibu wa vyanzo vya habari mbalimbali nchini Tanzania Idadi ya watu waliopoteza maisha kutokana na mafuriko imefikia zaidi ya watu 60. Zaidi ya watu 80 wamejeruhiwa vibaya kufuatia mvua kubwa zinazoendelea kunyesha katika eneo la Manyara, Kwa mujibu wa serikali ya Tanzania.
Mafuriko makubwa yaliyosababishwa na El Nino yamesababisha vifo vya mamia ya watu nchini Kenya na Somalia na kuwalazimisha maelfu ya watu kuyahama makazi yao tangu mvua za msimu zilipoanza mwezi Oktoba.
Operesheni ya uokoaji inaendelea katika mkoa wa Manyara huku mamlaka ikihofia baadhi ya miili inaweza kunaswa kwenye matope, mkuu wa mkoa wa Manyara Queen Sendiga aliwaambia waandishi wa habari Jumapili jioni.
Kupitia njia ya Video iliyowekwa mtandaoni wa wizara ya AFya , Rais wa Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan alituma salamu za rambirambi kwa familia zilizoathiriwa na kutoa idadi ya waliofariki na majeruhi ambao wanaendelea kupatiwa matibabu hospitalini huku wengine wakiruhusiwa kuondoka. Zaidi ya nyumba 100 zimeathiriwa na maporomoka hayo.
