On April 14th, 2023, eight poets successfully launched a poetry anthology after an intensive training through the PAWA Training For Trainers initiative. Led by the renowned Kenyan writer and poet Sitawa Namwalie, the exercise resulted in a book titled Give The Woman Her Flowers being produced. 96 poems were published by eight brilliant women, touching on themes of culture, social justice, mental wellbeing, and more.
As part of the project, the poets will be performing their work in a showcase directed by Sitawa Namwalie on Saturday 8th July at Phoenix Theatre, Professional Centre from 6:30pm.
