One of the best hills that will expose you to the real hiking experience in Kenya.
The main features of the hike include:
-Road trip with great company from Nairobi to Kipipiri and back
-Spectacular nature trails through indigenous forests of Central Kenya Aberdares
-Hiking starts at the Geta Forest Station on the southeastern end of the mountain ending in Miharati, which is on the northwestern end
-Hiking to an attitude of between 2,430 to 3,345 meters above sea level
-Two hours into the hike, the forest changes from the exotic to indigenous trees with lots of undergrowth
-You will also encounter cattle (mostly bulls) taken to the forest by the people in the neighborhood and left there for years to fend for themselves until they are old enough for slaughter
-There are some rocky patches and slopes followed by gentle climbs
-After several hurdles, you will notice the large rock that is Mt. Kipipiri’s summit
-At the summit, Lake Ol Bolosat is visible to the north, while Lake Naivasha can be seen to the west
-The descent is a short steep affair thru some forested areas, eventually breaking out onto farmlands after crossing the electric fence
-View of various animals, monkeys, elephants, bats and birds
