He urged residents to allow voters to freely elect leaders without intimidation and emphasized that political competition must remain peaceful. Odhiambo also appealed to political and religious leaders to watch their language, criticizing Anglican Bishop Ong’injo for making claims that Luo leaders were “bootlicking” President William Ruto.
