Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba is condemning the police for lobbing teargas inside PCEA Kariobangi North Church during a thanksgiving service on Sunday, November 30, 2025. The incident occurred as congregants, including children, gathered to celebrate the victory of David Warui, the DCP candidate who had won the Kariobangi North MCA seat in the recent by-election. Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was also present and had addressed worshippers moments before the chaos. Wamuchomba is calling the act a desecration of a holy place and demanding an apology from President William Ruto.
