Herders in Tigania demand action against cattle rustling

Herders from Tigania in Meru County are raising concerns over the sharp rise in cattle rustling in the region. Speaking at Limoro in Athwana Ward, Tigania West Constituency, the herdsmen alleged that the new Meru police commander, whom they say comes from a community historically linked to livestock theft, is colluding with bandits. They demanded his immediate transfer, saying the situation has left them vulnerable and exposed.
