President William Ruto Tuesday officially inaugurated the Tsavo West Rhino Sanctuary at Ngulia in Taita Taveta County.
The expanded sanctuary, according to Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Director General Erastus Kanga, will accommodate up to 200 rhinos.
Covering 3,200 square kilometres, the sanctuary’s development, which now includes 47 water pans, was made possible through the Kenya Rhino Range Expansion Programme.
