Veteran KBC broadcaster Amina Fakii has died aged 83 years

Veteran Kenya Broadcasting Corporation Broadcaster Amina Fakii is dead. Fakii died on Sunday, aged 83 years and was buried at Ngong Muslim cemetery in accordance with the Muslim Faith. The late Fakii joined KBC in 1963 when it was still known as the Voice of Kenya and was known for her prowess in broadcasting and her signature sign-off, “ciao” after her program. Those who worked or interacted with her have described her as a mentor they looked up to in their career.
