An Environmental activist Halima Lali Mohamed, representing Watamu village residents has filed a petition with the Environment and land court in Malindi to halt the Watamu Affordable Housing Project. The lawsuit names the Ministry of Lands and Housing, the Affordable Housing Board, the County Government of Kilifi, the Attorney General, and NEMA as respondents.
