Nearly 500,000 candidates score D+ & below

    Nearly one in every two KCSE candidates in Kenya is now leaving secondary school without a grade that qualifies them for degree-level education. 48.7% of the candidates who sat the 2025 KCSE examinations scored Grade D-plus and below, placing them outside the cut-off for degree programmes and, for many, even TVET institutions.
