Degodia elders in Tana River surrender 5 AK-47 rifles

Elders from Degodia community in Tana River County have surrendered illegal firearms to security authorities after the government announced amnesty. The Elders handed over five AK-47 rifles and ammunition to the county security team at Madogo Police Station. The surrendered firearms were surrendered together with loaded magazines Area County commissioner Joseph Mwangi warned those who fail to surrender illegal weapons before the expiry of the amnesty period will face a forceful disarmament operation.
