The bone of contention, the church pastor introduced a chairman from a different parish, despite members having held an election on October 12th, where 159 congregants voted to retain the incumbent, Simon Muhia. After tense deliberations, the two factions finally agreed to resolve the matter, allowing the church service to resume.
