18-year-old in Busia generates electricity using improvised system

An 18-year-old innovator from Muyala village in Matayos, Busia County, has amazed residents by generating home-made electricity and lighting up homes using a locally improvised system. Using a mix of oil and acid and grounding it through an earth wire from a pit latrine, Edwin Wandera has connected three households. Even using barbed wire instead of aluminium cables due to limited resources.
