A section of elected leaders in Kisii County are decrying low turnout for the voter registration exercise urging young people to register and have their votes count come 2027.
Bobasi Boitangare Member of the County Assembly Thomas Obare, said it is not enough for young people to lament of poor leadership yet shy away from registering as voters to make a statement on the ballot. Leader of Minority in the County Assembly, Denis Ombachi urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to create more polling centres in stations that have more than 1500 voters.
