Twelve teams from across the Nyanza region have booked their places in the Safaricom Chapa Dimba Nyanza Regional Finals, set for the 12th and 13th of September at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Kisumu.
The 12 teams were crowned county champions after winning their respective county finals.
In Kisumu, Obunga FC thrashed Julu Nyambugu 4-1 on post-match penalties after a barren draw, while two-time defending champions Nyakach Girls, also known as Plateau Queens, retained their county crown after hammering Victoria Soccer Academy 4-0.
In Siaya, Indomitable Soldiers edged Real Talent Academy 10-9 on penalties after the match ended 1-1.
In the girls’ category, Nyamira Starlets overcame Lwak Starlets 6-5, also on penalties.
The qualifiers from Migori are Awendo Academy and Oyugi Ogango Girls, with the remaining county champions completing the 12-team regional line-up.
