270,000 candidates secure direct university entry

More than 270,000 candidates from the 2025 KCSE have secured direct entry into universities, leaving nearly 700,000 without spots in public institutions. While releasing the results in Eldoret on Friday, Education CS Migos Ogamba revealed that 1,932 candidates achieved an overall mean grade of A, with national schools once again producing the bulk of top scorers.
