Airport strike ends, but passengers remain stranded

We begin the bulletin with the lingering effects of a two-day aviation workers' strike. Even as workers called off the strike and resumed duty, airports were left struggling to clear a backlog of stranded passengers. Airlines were forced to add extra flights, extend staff shifts and reschedule some flights over several days. Seth Orale reports that dozens of passengers at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and Moi International Airport in Mombasa remained unable to travel, with airlines rebooking them, especially those with international connections.
