Allan Oyende emerged the winner of the 17th edition of the National Scrabble Masters Championship following an impressive performance at Stima Club in Nairobi.
Oyende topped the standings after recording 14 wins and six losses to earn 499 points and clinch the title. Bernard Koyyoko finished second, while Chis Okioma settled for third.
The championship forms part of Kenya’s preparations for the 2026 Africa Scrabble Championship, scheduled for October in Monrovia, Liberia. More than 20 players took part in the tournament at Stima Club.
